FY19 Completed Projects

Project Description:  The 101 and 118 rooms of Carrington Hall will be renovated to fit the needs of University Financial Aid. The project will include selective demolition and new construction of walls and ceilings. Associated work includes updated finishes and signage, replacement of mechanical units, modification of power and lighting, and reconfiguration of other items as required for the new layouts. The work will be phased to first complete renovations in 101 and then renovate 118.

Project Description:   This project will include architectural and mechanical work for an infill installation of Einstein Brothers at Glass Hall.

Project Description: The project consists a locker room addition to Greenwood Laboratory School that will fit with an overall master plan desired for Greenwood. This master plan will include a new gymnasium with a stage, support areas for the gym, and new south entrance.

Project Description:   This project updates finishes and lighting in the lobby and public restrooms. This work will include the front desk millwork and finishes in the mailroom (100A), offices (100B, 100C and 100D), as well as the computer lab (105).

Project Description:   This project will include an investigation of the exterior envelope at Hill Hall to ensure it is sound to prevent water damage to newly renovated interior spaces.

Project Description:  The renovation of Hill Hall will provide an enhanced learning enviornment for the students, faculty, and staff of the college of education and psychology programs.  This includes improving accessibility for the facility, faculty and staff offices and work areas, classrooms, support areas, and student collaboration spaces.  In addition, maintenance and repairs will be made to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical distribution systems are required.  Work will be done to improve the life safety components of the project including the fire suppression and fire alarm systems.  Construction will begin Summer 2017 and ready for use by Fall 2018.

Project Description:  This project involves the replacement of an alternative floor covering at the Kings Street Annex.

Project Description:  This project includes flooring work for rooms on the third floor and all stairs. The scope consists of removing existing wall base, VCT tile, floor prep, polishing the existing concrete slab, installing new wall base and removing/replacing stair treads

Project Description:  Missouri State University is interested in constructing a location known as NPHC Plots on our campus. This is a location that provides a presence on campus for historically African American fraternities and sororities. The site will be the patio to the east of McDonald Arena. Two pergolas made of Phenix Stone will be erected, an accessible entrance added and plaques will be mounted to the short wall surrounding the patio.

Project Description:   This project will renovate Room 115 within the Meyer Library to include the removal of the north-side counter, carpet replacement, locker removal, and paint applications.

Project Description: Conversion of approximately 1,400 square feet in Room 114 of the Meyer Library into a new Center for Academic Success and Transition. The center will include a reception area, storage room, open office, multipurpose room, and three private offices. The project will include selective demolition and new construction as described in the drawings and specifications.

Project Description: The project will add paving to the existing gravel parking lot near the Mill Street Warehouse (corner of Campbell Avenue and Mill Street). It is anticipated the lot will be temporary as the area may be developed in the future for other things. The University is interested in creating a dust free (chip & seal) surface as the base bid and considering an alternate upgrade to asphalt. Parking lot lighting will be provided similar to other University parking lots.

Project Description:   Preventative parking lot maintenance and ADA improvements for various parking lots at the Springfield campus.  Lots include: 2, 4, 7, 11, 16, 18, 19, 27, 29, 39, 40, 42, 47, 47B, 52, and STMA. Work includes removing and replacing small sections of asphalt that is broken, spalling, cracked, or deteriorating as well as improvements to paving, curbs, ramps, and sidewalks to comply with ADA parking requirements. After parking lot repairs are complete each lot will be restriped. Lots that do not require repair with be restriped, crack filled, and sealed with an asphalt emulsion.

Project Description: Missouri State University is working with Missouri University of Science and Technology on the development of a cooperating mechanical engineering program to be held on our campus. Space has been identified at the Robert W. Plaster Center for Free Enterprise for this program.

Project Description: The air handling unit on the roof of Plaster Student Union requires repairs. The project includes replacing the existing north and south steam coils, chilled water coils and providing a new fan array system. The onsite work is required to commence and be completed during MSU's Christmas Break, December 14, 2018 through January 9, 2019..

Project Description: Provide a new greenhouse addition on the south side of Temple Hall.  Work will include but is not limited to: removing the existing greenhouse, providing a new concrete pad and installing the new greenhouse.  New plumbing, electrical and HVAC will need to be installed and tied into the campus system.

Project Description:   Construction of an outdoor amphitheater to seat approximately 800 people. The work includes retaining seat walls, grass terraces, concrete walkway, concrete stage, metal handrails, and landscape beds.

Project Description:  The work will include electrical, mechanical systems and windows building wide. Adding outlets and new light fixtures and reworking of finishes in all student rooms.
