Below is a listing of projects that will bid within the next three months.  

Welding Lab Renovation, Broadway Building, West Plains Campus  

Project Description:  This project will renovate an existing building to house the welding program for the Greater Ozarks Center for Advanced Technology (GOCAT). The area of renovation is approximately 11,500 square feet and will also require an addition of approximately 2,000 square feet for new restrooms, exit stairway, and an elevator. The first floor will include welding booths, a fabrication area, project area, material storage, gas storage, material receiving, restrooms, locker area, entry, offices, breakroom, workroom, and a classroom. The second floor will accommodate two additional classrooms. The new exterior building materials will be masonry to blend and complement the existing materials.

Repair Stone Façade, Pummill Hall

Project Description:  The restoration includes repair, replacement, and cleaning of existing exterior facade stone fascia, caps, and panels.  The stone exhibits displacement, cracking, staining, and chipping.  The work will also include associated roofing and flashing work.  Work will be based on the Pummill Hall Exterior Façade Assessment report issued May 21, 2021, which includes additional recommendations for preservation treatments, monitoring, and maintenance of the exterior stone panels.

Exterior Slab Extension Repairs, Woods House and Wells House

Project Description:  The exterior concrete slab extensions at Woods House and Wells House are deteriorating, cracking, and fragmenting.  Repairs are needed to replace missing concrete, and caulk and coat all slab extension to prevent further deterioration.

Lecture Hall Addition, Looney Hall, West Plains Campus 

Project Description:  The lecture hall addition will include a new classroom to seat approximately 100 students, a new main entry into the building, and new restrooms. The new classroom will have tiered seating, and the new restrooms will serve both the lecture hall addition and existing building. The lecture hall addition will be able to operate as a stand-alone facility for after-hours events.

Chiller Installation and Boiler Replacement, Hammons Student Center and JQH Arena 

Project Description:  This project installs an additional chiller in chiller station number six (6) located adjacent to Hammons Student Center. The additional chiller will help ensure that the district chilled water system has adequate capacity to serve the Springfield Campus and will help ensure the reliability of the system. In order to locate the new chiller in chiller station number six (6), the aging boilers that currently serve Hammons Student Center will need to be removed from the building. This project will provide a new consolidated boiler plant located in JQH Arena. The new boiler plant will serve Hammons Student Center, as well as JQH Arena. The new boilers will be high-efficiency gas fired condensing boilers, increasing energy efficiency, and allowing for better control of the heating system for the adjoining buildings.
