Planning, Design and Construction is pleased to share weekly project updates with the campus and community. While not a comprehensive list, the updates reflect our more substantial campus projects. Below are our most current updates and previous updates are available at the bottom of this page.

Addition & Renovation, Blunt Hall

Mechanical & electrical work continues on level zero, level one, level two, and level three. Interior metal stud framing continues on level zero, level one, level two and level three. Exterior metal stud framing continues. Topping out is scheduled for May 22.

Autism Student Support Center, West Plains Campus

Steel installation will continue for the next several weeks. Structural stud framing will start in the coming weeks with the parapets and then exterior walls. Once the parapets are framed the roof will be installed.

Addition & Renovation, Kemper Hall

The third concrete slab pour for level one was poured this week. This completes the level one concrete pours except for a small area on the west side for the new training lab storage. Structural steel erection has begun on the previously poured slab areas, which will be the new entrance and lobby area. Underground electrical conduit and basement electrical equipment work continues. Under slab plumbing trench drain work continues. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing raceways in the existing building for electric and data conduit for doors and fire alarm are in progress.

Agricultural Innovation Hub, Darr Agricultural Center

Under slab electrical and plumbing work continues. Concrete slab edge forming is in progress in preparation for concrete slab pours next week.

Sidewalk Improvements, Springfield Campus

Sidewalk replacement to commence the week after graduation.

MSU Baseball Training Facility

Floor installation is complete and floor base will be installed this week. Ceilings have been installed and paint touch up will occur this week. All work will be complete next week with the exception of the glass storefront door to weightroom.

Turf Replacement, Allison South Stadium

Submittals have been reviewed and approved. The contractor is securing materials for the project. A kick-off meeting occurred this week. Staging, dumpster location, and project schedule were reviewed. Work will commence after graduation.

Renovate Locker Room, Hammons Student Center

The north gym bleacher removal has been completed as well as the wall repair in the West Gym and the installation of electrical wiring, supply piping, and HVAC piping/ductwork in the new locker room. Upcoming activities include the installation of hydronic water lines and hallow metal door frames as well as the cleaning and painting of the north gym wall. The domestic water tie-in is scheduled for next week. Further work in the north and south gyms, and the east and west decks will begin following graduation.
