Carillon Bells Raised to New Home on Campus

 (08-17-2001) Friday:

Forty-eight bronze bells, their cast iron clappers and the keyboard that together make the Jane A. Meyer Carillon have arrived on the Missouri State campus. The bells came from the Netherlands, where they were specially created for the university's new carillon tower. Thursday, construction crews used a crane to install the bells in the carillon tower, located in the newly renovated Meyer Library.
